Travel Assist integrates adpative cruise control and adaptive lane guidance. When they are interconnected, the car can make driving a lot easier and increase travelling comfort. Once activated, Travel Assist will automatically keep the car in centre of the lane and keep you at a safe distance to the vehicle ahead. The Adaptive Cruise Control uses a front grille radar sensor to monitor the car ahead and automtiaclly adjust the vehicles speed and distance. Standard on Monte Carlo and part of the optional Signature Package on Kamiq Select.

Lane Assist can tell when you stray from a lane unintentionally. The Lane Assist system works in conjunction with a multipurpose camera to recognise lane markings on the road, including yellow lines during roadworks, traffic cones, and other roadside or lane borders. The enhanced “Adaptive” variant means that the system intervenes in an attempt to keep the vehicle in the selected track within the traffic lane, and the car does not “weave”. Park Assist semi-automatically guides the car into perpendicular parking spaces, and in and out of parallel spots. The system assists you by automatically carrying out optimal steering wheel movements to park within the lines, you just have to accelerate and brake. Park Assist can also finish off a parking manoeuvre that has already started. Standard on Monte Carlo and part of the optional Signature Package on Kamiq Select.

The Park Distance Control warns of the potential risk of colliding with obstacles during parking by drawing data from the sensors, the driving parameters, and the steering wheel angle. To avoid those parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the distance alerts, the Kamiq incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision. When reversing out of parking bays, Rear Traffic Alert recognises vehicles approaching from the sides. An acoustic signal warns of an impending collision. The “critical side” is shown first in yellow and then in red on the infotainment display. The brakes are applied automatically if necessary. Standard across the range.

When reverse gear is engaged, the camera in the tailgate is activated and the image is shown on the infotainment system display. The system shows the space behind the car and indicates the driving line, based on the vehicle width. Standard across the range.

The headlights of the Škoda Kamiq use LEDs for all of their functions. LED technologies’ many upsides include their longer life and the fact that they are less of a drain on power. Standard across the range.

Using a multifunction camera that detects light sources from oncoming vehicles, the Matrix function of the LED headlights masks out the light distribution around other vehicles or traffic signs in real time with individually switchable LED chips in each headlight. This results in a perfectly illuminated road ahead and greater safety. Only available on Monte Carlo.

The LED tail lights incorporate diodes to play every role. Their specialities include an eye-catching dynamic turn indicator. Standard across the range.
